The difference between the ignorant and the wise is that the ignorant see almost everywhere bad people while the wise see almost everywhere ignorant people. The wise man knows that even the most "wicked" of men has within him a divine soul and hates no one. He knows that it is only because of his delusions and conceptions that the "wicked" one acts to the suffering of others. The wise man feels a deep compassion even for them. He knows that demons are people's thoughts and feelings.
Diferența dintre ignoranți și înțelepți este că ignoranții văd aproape peste tot oameni răi, în timp ce cei înțelepți văd aproape peste tot oameni ignoranți. Omul înțelept știe că până și "cel mai rău"dintre oameni are în el un suflet divin și nu urăște pe nimeni. El știe că doar din cauza iluziilor și concepțiilor sale "cel rău" acționează spre suferința altora. Înțeleptul simte o profundă compasiune chiar și pentru ei. El știe că demonii sunt gândurile și sentimentele oamenilor.
